- I have been a community college counselor since Jan. 2005 and currently work at three different San Diego Communtiy Colleges. I love my job because I enjoy helping people reach their highest potential. I was born and raised in San Diego and obtained both my bachelors and masters from San Diego State University. I also love my life outside of work, as I am surrounded by a loving family, great friends and a wonderful man in my life. I always try and make the best out of any situation and smile through the pain. I believe that you are not in control of everything that happens in your life, but your attitude about it can make or break you.
